It was in 20.03.1951 that our Organization registered as “Ikya Nanaya Sangam”.It started its function in 26.06.1951 with 92 members contributing Rs.5/- each on the basis of royal sprit of some pioneers under the leadership of SRI.ITTY PANGIACHAN.V.K.alias SRI.VISWANATHACHAN. Initially our organization worked in a house named V.K.R. Nivas. Sri.Itty Pangiacahn.V.K. alias Viswanathachan was not only the first member of the organization but also first Secretary of “Ikya Nanaya Sangam”.The First President was Sri.Mannath Thampuran Kutty Menon. |

This “Ikya Nanaya Sangam” formed as society after few years and shifted its working to a Khadhi society building. Adv. CHANDRA BHANU VARMA (Advocate, Bsc, and L.L.B) was the first president of society. Sri Ravidas varma K.M becomes the first secretary. They were followed by Sri. K.Bhaskara Menon and Sri.V.K.Chandra Sekhara Varma. These esteemed Pioneers with their relentless effort and preservance made this society as a Co. Operative Bank in 06.04.1965.

| Our former president and current director is Sri M.C.K. NAIR was one of the Board members of 1st Director Board. He is serving this bank as president since 1986.He is a man with thorough knowledge about Co- operative Sector and a Strong believer of service .No doubt that he and his team of directors, with their sincere dedicated outstanding performance ,has made a strong faith among the people. The Bank has won many performance awards stands financially strong. Now our running president is Sri. N Prema Kumaran. Now the bank has three branches two at Kallekulangara, near to Railway South Divisional Office and one at Andimadam. The members have grown to 13000 in numbers and the Bank has Rupees 220 Crores deposit and Rupees 132 crores loan lending. It functions profitably and offers maximum percentage dividend to members. The bank has 27 employees and Smt. P Subha Varma is the Secretary incharg. We are proud that the Bank become Class 1 Super Grade and reached a top most position among other co-operative banks in Kerala. |
